Sunday Dear Readers #14



I hope all of my readers enjoyed the Olympic Games as much as I did this year. The Olympic spirit was alive and well. While the games started tragically, they pulled up and let everyone see the magic that is the games. With the exception of one person, everyone embodied the Olympic Spirit and congratulated others who won, and played to the best of their abilities. Saturday Nine #16



1. Have you ever been on a date and you had to tell the person to just go away? Yes. I hated doing it but ugh.

2. Do you wish you were someplace else right now? If yes, where? Yes I wish I was in Ireland right now just enjoying it.

3. Do you have any pet peeves? Oh yes..probably more than I should have.

4. Tell us about a guilty pleasure of yours. I like to read Bodice Rippers

5. If you could change places and become a celebrity, who would you'd like to be? I do not think I would. Even when things are bad I am still me and I like to be me.

6. What do you consider your biggest talent? My Creativity.

7. Do you have a favorite actor/actress that is not a big star, yet they are your favorite? James Purefoy.

8. Name your five favorite rock bands of all time. Bon Jovi, Oasis, Queen, Three Doors Down, whatever band my husband happens to be in at the moment.

9. If you were to start a new relationship (for whatever reason), how much of your sexual history would you share? Would you resort to lying? I would not lie. I have no reason to.



Saturday Six #17



1. Someone posts a question on a website’s message board asking a simple question that could easily be answered with a Google search: does that bother you? Do you tell them to look it up, or would you just provide the answer? I would provide the answer. Some people would rather have someone else tell them than trust a website, no harm done.

2. A co-worker in the cubicle next to you clips his fingernails regularly. Would this annoy you enough to make you complain? I would not complain but it would annoy me. Clip your nails at home!

3. You’re in line at a checkout counter when the person being waited on is delaying things because they won’t stop talking on her cell phone. Would this bother you? Would you say something about it? It would annoy me. I can not stand when people will not get off their cell phone to check out and treat the person checking them out like a human. That said..I probably would not say anything. I am passie agressive sometimes.

4. At work, you go to the coffee area and see that the person before you has left a minor spill of coffee and sweetener. Would it bother you enough that you’d clean it up, or just leave it for someone else? I would clean it up. Leaving it for the next person is no better than the person who spilled it not cleaning it up.

5. A co-worker’s cell phone keeps ringing every few minutes while they’re away from their desk. The ringtone is particularly annoying. If you knew they wouldn’t be back for an hour or more, would you be annoyed enough to turn the cell phone off? Yes I would.

6. Someone you know regularly returns a, “Hello, how are you?” with a simple, “Fine” and no effort to ask how you are. Would this bother you enough to make you stop asking them if you knew they’d never return the courtesy? Nope because I am being polite. If they are not that is their Karma not mine.

Simply the Best

With all of the fussing over the Men's Skating finnish(GET OVER IT Plushenko! You lost!) I have been watching some of My all time favorite Skaters..(back in the day entertainment) on Youtube.

Perhaps the best....for me and I doubt many will argue...Scott Hamilton. Not only does he skate fantasticly even as he has gotten older, but he can Act truly Act like few skaters can.







And his 2009 come back on the Today Show..



Kristi Yamaguchi.....I remember watching her growing up and always loved her.

Rumor, well there is many things you could do with the word rumor. For me and my love of mail, the thing I would directly look at is how rumors can be started by mail. Or how people can start rumors sending chain letters. I love mail and I love writing to people but I hate when someone sends me a chain mail letter saying if you send me $1 and than $1 to the first five people on this list and yada yada, ugh talk about a scam!

On a more real life note, I am trying to keep from starting any rumors about a family member. She truly deserves to be ousted or looked at with what I believe she is lying about but I do not have the gumption to say anything to anyone about it. I suppose because of the fear of being wrong and not wishing to start a nasty rumor. Rumors are a bad thing, I really think everyone needs to try to avoid them.

Sunday Dear Readers #13



Dear Readers,

It is Sunday once again and time for my installment of Sunday Dear Readers. I have enjoyed sharing my pictures from my mailbag and am working more on deciding what exactly I should post on this blog about my writing. While I am still doing my Meme’s I do want to shift the focus to Mail and Mail art. I send so many letters and love doing so I feel the need to share it. This inspiration of course came from not only my love of letter writing but also a lovely Lady called The Missive Maven. Her blog is fantastic and just inspired me to get the word out more. She is in inspiration and the links on her blog have opened my eyes to just how many writing projects and the like there are on the community of the World Wide Web.

I love writing and for this Sunday, I will share what I have not yet posted about from my mailbox last week. The postcards are from a Post crossing trade and made a trip all the way from the Netherlands. Than we have a lovely letter from a new pen pal from England and I love the little sticker decoration on the corner of the envelope. There is also some stickers on the inside letter. Last but not least is a letter from a fellow FPNer where he printed a nice header on some Southworths Fine Parchment Paper in Ivory one of my favorite papers.






I hope that you enjoy the mail as much as I do; there really is nothing better than finding a letter tucked in with all the bills and the junk mail that you do not want. To me even the most simple of letters is a small piece of art. In fact, I believe this so much that I wrote an article on Article Content about the Lost Art of letter writing and I plan to write a follow up of it soon about how Letters really are a form of art that everyone can do. Weather you mail it in a simple envelope or one you made yourself.

You Are Slippers



You aren't really a morning person. Mornings are a little too early and cold for your taste.

It's hard for you not to just turn off your alarm and sleep in. Your bed is so warm and cozy.



Whenever you have the chance, you take your morning as slowly as possible. You take a long time to wake up.

It's not unusual for your "morning" to carry over into the afternoon. You are definitely not a morning person!




6. What’s the part of your morning you least look forward to every day? Doesn't this go with number 1? Anyways its the part I know is coming the part where I can't sleep like a normal person.

Mail Bag- The Rest of Last weeks



Here are the rest of last weeks mail call before the long holiday took over (I did get some mail Monday I will post about it later) I was happy to get these letters and as you can see they are all very different. The first with the Cherry card was from a Pen Pal I have traded a few letters with now and we are still going strong. The second with the legal envelope is from a fellow Fountain Pen Network friend, the funny thing about this one is our letters must have crossed in the mail I sent one and than got one but this is an intro letter and I know the sender couldn’t have read the one I sent already, pretty funny but I sent off another reply.

Finally yet importantly, we have a letter that came in a priority envelope it is from the LWA or Letter Writers Alliance. It contained my official membership card and a cute little button to go with it. I loved all my letters but was happy to get the membership!

I am going to go with Light for this entry and stay in the theme I have been in for a few weeks. I feel lighter since I made the change over for my blog. It really didn’t require I do anything other than start posting about my mail and my pen pals. So I have been posting my missives and what I am sending out. I am enjoying these posts and when I can keep my Meme posts about the joy of letter writing and pen paling. I plan too.

One fantastic and light thing I did this week was I joined the Letter Writers Alliance. I was very glad I did this even if I thought the shipping price for the little card was a bit high (and I did) but really honestly over all it is worth it to be in a group that loves to write letters. So that was the lightness that has happened for me since the last H or T, I have some Dark stuff too but I prefer to focus on the light.

This is one of the lovely letters that I got in the mail Friday & Saturday I do not recall which day I got several nice letters before the draught of Sunday & Monday having no mail. The very thoughtful letter writer also included Crane's to add to my chain that I am slowly making for health.
