Heads or Tails Tuesday #20

Sweet or sour. Well that is an interesting topic to think about. I think I will go with sweet because I have a major sweet tooth.

Things have not been sweet for me recently; the cancer is getting me down. But I still think of all the support I have, the friends, and prayers they offer me. That in its own is sweet because they care for me. My husband cares for me. Although he sometimes has a sour way of handling my sickness I can’t blame him because it affects him too. Me being sick affects him. Because he loves me so much.

I appreciate the support I am getting from friends. My friends have been a bigger support than my family. My mom is the only one who checks on me with any regularity. My Father contacted me once, and I haven’t heard from him since. That was a year ago.

But I will cling to the sweet, to my friends and their support. And maybe while I am thinking about it I will help myself to a brownie.

Yes....ANY illness of yourself or a family member or loved one always brings mixed emotions and stress!!!

I'm glad you have so many supportive people around you. Glad you're supporting yourself with brownies - chocolate and sweet - they're the best.

So sorry to hear about your illness and lack of parental support from your dad. I hope and pray for a complete recovery and strength for you and your husband as you both fight this.
