A Thousand Words Thursday #23

This is a picture of my JuJu and Redward. They were only a two weeks apart in age. But Redward was born a runt who never thrived. He never got as much hair as everyone else, and the vet was always honestly surprised he made it as far as he did. Redward was with us for 6 months. He was a good boy, he loved daddy the best and his favorite place to snuggle was on daddy's chest. We sadly lost our little Redward yesterday evening. He went peacefully and painfree with both of us by his side. His little system finaly just could not keep up with what should have been a bigger kitty. He was little but he was our little angel and he will be missed by all of us.

Rich Things...and thoughts

Wow, just wow is all I can say. I am watching TLC again this morning, as it tends to be the only station with things on at 5am or so besides news, and well news can be depressing. And there is a show on called Toddlers and Tiara’s. I will get more into my personal opinion of the show in another post (once I have muttered through it all). But I can say with these pageant’s they really must be some of the richest people in the world.

Speaking of the richest people in the world (okay I am sure pageant moms are), do you ever wonder just who are the richest people in the world? I know I sometimes do simply because you know they can’t all be house hold names like Bill Gates. We know there are celebrities out there who have a lot of money but I am not sure all of them would qualify as the richest people in the world. A lot of them would be software, or store owners that kind of thing. What do you think?

And looking more at money and riches, what do you suppose happens to the people who win the lottery? We had one big winner in my state and there was some news coverage when they won and than nothing. I don’t want to know everything about their lives of course but I am curious to know if they managed their money well, or if they spent it all right away.

Manic Monday #5

One (or more) new random question each and every Monday.

Forgot this one again..I am getting bad again. Going to have to make myself another Post IT to make sure I remember all my Meme's of course last week is forgiveable it was Christmas week.

Were you considered popular in high school? Why or why not? No not really I was a drama and choir geek so not very popular but I had my friends. And I am okay with that.

Did you have an enemy or bully when you were young? No not really.

If you could go on a road trip with any person (dead or alive) who would you go with and where would you go? Oh that is a tough one. But I would pick Thomas Jefferson and we would go cross country. Heck yes!

HEADS - "Rate"

Make any kind of post using any form of the word "Rate."

Rate. Well rate is a relative term when you think about it. We rate just about everything in our lives, weather we do it on purpose or subconsciously we do it. We rate the customer service we have gotten. We rate our friends, by labeling them Best friends or just friends. We rate our favorite to least favorite foods, and movies and books. I think we even rate loved ones, from the favored Aunt to the Uncle we aren’t so fond of.

We get asked to rate things on shopping sites. EBay and Etsy have feedback so you have a visible rating to others. Everything is rated in life. Odd isn’t it? We don’t want to be judged or to Judge others but we do it. I am sure right now your even rating my post or blog design. But don’t worry I am okay with it ;)

Have a Happy Tuesday.

Heads or Tails Tuesday #17

Catch up Dec 22nd: TAILS - "Show 'N Tell"

Remember playing Show 'N Tell back in school? This is pretty much the same. Post something you want to "show" and then "tell" about it.

Show and tell…HMM well I don’t have any pictures of it yet. But I want to tell you about the arm warmers I am making. I have finally taught myself how to knit. My sister was supposed to help me do it, but of course when it came time for her to do so she did a usual sister thing flipped out and said no. SO I taught myself. HA.

And low and behold I am good at it already and I have made one arm warmer and once I catch up on a little bit of my reading I plan on making more. I just need to make sure I keep up on my reading and don’t fall behind to much.

Heads or Tails Tuesday #16

Playing a little catch up with this one because I forgot to do it for a few weeks.

Here is from Dec 15th:HEADS - Gone Fishin'

Make any kind of post about anything you might see, use or do while fishing.

This has a lot of outside the box thinking opportunities.. "Hooked" on someone, "fishing" for compliments, an event at "school", drawing a "line" in the sand, etc.

This is an interesting topic, seeing as off the cuff you would of course think about actual fishing. Well to think outside of the box I have decided I will use the idea to say what I use when I am fishing for a book to read. With over 600 books on my TBR pile (I have tried to cut it down) fishing for a book to read can be a project.

The first thing I do in the last year and moving forward is think of what reading challenges I have given myself on my book blog Fire & Ice. I will than decide what I am in the mood for at that moment and start twiddling it down. I try to fit at least one book from a challenge in a month, usually more. But my biggest fishing tool is just feeling out my mood for what book I want to read, I honestly never know what that is going to be. I can think I am in the mood for one thing and end up in the mood for something totally different.

What Color is your name?

My friend My Cozy Book Nook had this Quiz posted on her blog. So I went and took it. And I have to say I was curious to what my name is. And I have to say I was honestly surprised that it ended up being my favorite color. What olor is your name.

Your Name is Purple

Your name tells people that you are polite and cultured. You are well mannered and always act appropriately.

Compared to most people, you have a much broader view of the world. You are truly cosmopolitan.

People see you as wise and civilized. No matter how bad things get, you always keep your head.

If someone angers you, you try not to lower yourself to their level. Fighting and insults are beneath you.

New Feature

I have added a new feature to the side of the blog. It is an Ask me anything feature, through forumspring. My friend Sara over at TinyandAnnoying started doing this, and I just followed suit because I thought it was fun. So go ahead and head over and ask me anything. You can be Anonymous.
