Charter Roll Out

Charter is rolling out a new service they are calling Phatband Ultra60 Mbps, and it’s touted as one of the fastest systems in the U.S. It is available in St. Louis and they are rolling it out in other areas throughout the country with products that go along with it in 2009.

I have to say hearing about this service really intrigued me and excited me. When you think about 60 Mbps of bandwidth that is so fast. I can just picture all of the multi-tasking tasking I could do with that kind of service. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I multi task. When I have my computer running I am usually working on an article of some kind, surfing some websites and Djing in Second Life. Sadly I am often hampered and bogged down by the speed of my service connection.

So if I was able to get Charters high speed product I would simply be in seventh heaven. I am sure I would have far less crashes in Second Life, and be able to Dj a lot smoother. And from a gaming perspective that would be a perfect thought, no gamer likes when their game crashes in the middle of something. And I am no exception to that especially when I am streaming my tunes.

While I am currently on DSL I would much rather have Cable as I have had cable in the past. Cable technology to me was far more preferable, less outages and a smoother running system. So I do think that charters service would match all the cable and the speed!
